A Hazy Summer Day At Bolton Abbey

Today has been a day for re-visiting the beautiful and enigmatic Bolton Abbey in North Yorkshire. I predominantly used my Nikon D700 DSLR to capture the day although I will share a few pictures that were shot by both me and my daughter on my iPhone 11 Pro .

If like me you love to be outdoors and surrounded by nature, then seriously check Bolton Abbey out. As well as a breathtakingly beautiful landscape, there are solid flat stepping stones for crossing the river as well as a bridge and if you’re feeling even braver, the river is perfect for a spot of wild swimming. Today there were a few groups there swimming and splashing about and I was truly exasperated I hadn’t brought my costume with me! No matter, I’ve been working on a plan to go river swimming for a while now so I’ve popped Bolton Abbey’s refreshing clean waters on my list.

Please also do check out the fabulous antiquarian book shop in the village, if you’re a book lover you’ll find an oasis of charming proportions!
